First Aid Kit Inventory

The kit can be stored in a waterproof bag, a small toolbox or other kind of box in the house

Medications and medical supplies should be kept safely out of reach of children.  Since some of the items in your kit will have expirations dates, check your box periodically, discard outdated medications and supplies and make sure you have all the supplies you need.

If your pets have any special conditions or needs, ask your veterinary what additional items you may want to put in your pet’s first aid kit.

[]Gauze sponges (available at most pharmacies)

[]Rolled Gauze, 2” width

[]Roll bandages, such as gauze wrap that stretches and clings

[]Materials to make a splint (This can include pieces of wood, newspaper, or sticks)

[]Adhesive tape (hypo-allergenic)

[]Non-adherent sterile pads

[]Nylon leash (at least one)                                

[]A large heavy towel

[]Compact thermal blanket

[]Pediatric digital thermometer

[]Water based sterile lubricant

[]Rubbing alcohol

[]Over the counter topical antibiotic ointment

[]Sterile eyewash
